This collection of correspondence contains letters written by Carpenter to his firend, Richard S. Mott (1825- ), a Quaker living in Burlington, N.J. Carpenter's letters relate news of Quaker meetings attended, discuss his health, the weather, and local events. The final letter to Mott was written by a cousin, describing the death and funeral of Carpenter.
